BREVARD CHESS CLUB ACTIVITIES

Join us at one of our weekly events!

Thursdays at 6:45PM

Every Thursday is a quick or blitz Swiss tournament at Panera Bread in West Melbourne (245 Palm Bay Road NE, West Melbourne). First round will start at 6:45PM sharp! Pre-registration entry fee is $15 entry for adults, $10 for kids 17 and under, price is $5 more in-person. Prizes for top placements are cash based on entries. If there is a sufficient amount of players, there will be sections for different skill levels (Open and U1300/Amateur sections). Look for chess boards and register with Alex Dshalalow. Check the FaceBook or Whatsapp group for updates, or text 321-514-8547 if you have any questions. Tournament is U.S. Chess Federation rated for US Chess members. Encouraged to bring your own board and clock.

Mondays (every other week) at 7PM!

Launching a new tournament series on April 1st, 2024 that will occur every Monday! Format will be 15 min games with 0 second increment. Games will be US Chess Federation rated. Pricing for early registration 20$ for adults and $10 for kids, and then $5 more at the door. You can pre-register by clicking here (USCF ID not required, you can sign up at the door). Sundays 1:00-5:00PM

At the Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library in Cocoa (308 Forrest Ave, Cocoa, FL 32922), every Sunday some players gather together to play some games for fun. Occasionally, they'll do a blitz tournament if they have the right amount of interested players. Chess Coach Owen Grant, a player with 50 years of experience, offers free guidance and coaching.
