BREVARD CHESS CLUB ACTIVITIES

Thursdays at 6:45PM

Every Thursday is a quick (rapid) Swiss tournament at Panera Bread in West Melbourne (245 Palm Bay Road NE, West Melbourne). First round will start at 6:45PM sharp! Pricing for early registration by midnight the day prior is 15$ for adults and $10 for kids, with a price increase of $5 the day of the tournament, another increase of $5 at the door. Prizes for top placements are cash based on entries. If there is a sufficient amount of players, there will be sections for different skill levels (Open and U1400/Amateur sections). Look for chess boards and register with Alex Dshalalow. Check the FaceBook or Whatsapp group for updates, or text 321-514-8547 if you have any questions. Tournament is U.S. Chess Federation and you must be a USCF member. Encouraged to bring your own board and clock.

Sundays at 2:00PM

Every Sunday is a blitz Swiss tournament at Nocturne Tea House in Palm Bay (4700 Babcock St NE, Unit 2, Palm Bay, FL). First round will start around 2:00PM! Pre-registration entry fee is $10, price is $5 more in-person. Prizes for top placements are bar tabs with the venue. If more than 20 players, prizes are $60 bar/food tab for 1st place, $20 tab for 2nd place, $10 tab for top under 1600, $10 for top under 1400. If less than 20 players, $30 for 1st, $15 for 2nd, $10 for top U1400. Click here to visit our monthly calendar of events and click on the desired date/event to pre-register.
